"Clean Electric Secures $6 Million in Series A Funding"

Clean Electric, a developer of fast-charging battery technology, has raised $6 million in Series A funding, co-led by Info Ventures, Pi Ventures, and Kalaari Capital. The funding will support the company’s efforts in energy storage research and development, expand sales and operations, and introduce new products aimed at faster charging and renewable energy storage solutions.

"This investment is not just financial support; it's a validation of the groundbreaking work our team is doing to redefine EV technology. Our goal is to make electric vehicles a practical, greener, and appealing choice for millions in India and beyond," said Akash Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Clean Electric.

The company also plans to expand its technology to electric four-wheelers and commercial vehicles. Lok Capital and other investors also participated in the funding round.

Recently, Clean Electric demonstrated its 12-minute rapid charging technology for electric two- and three-wheelers at public charging stations in Pune, showcasing a battery life of over 3,700 cycles. Founded in 2016 by Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy, and Ankit Joshi, Clean Electric has now raised a total of $9 million to date.
