"Rhetan TMT to Establish 2 MW Solar Power Plant"

Rhetan TMT, a prominent manufacturer of structured steel products, is set to establish a 2 MW captive solar power plant at its factory in Kadi, Gujarat. The company’s board of directors will convene on Friday to discuss the details of the investment.

In May, Rhetan TMT transitioned from the BSE SME platform to the main board, signaling its growth ambitions. During the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, the company signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate the solar power project, with the Gujarat government offering assistance in securing the necessary permissions from state departments.

Rhetan TMT has already increased its manufacturing capacity from 30,000 tonnes per annum to 45,000 tonnes per annum. Established in 1984, the company is part of the Gujarat-based Lesha Group, which has diverse business interests across sectors including oil and gas, steel, infrastructure, electronic equipment, and chemical products.

Shalin Shah, Managing Director of Rhetan TMT, expressed optimism about growing demand from the construction and infrastructure sectors and indicated plans for further expansion of manufacturing capacity.
