Ashok Leyland bags Rs. 300-cr contract.

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland Ltd. has bagged a $ 50 million (Rs. 300 crore) order from Zimbabwe. The contract to supply 670 vehicles from the Ministry of Tourism & Hospitality Industry, Zimbabwe, will be executed in the current year, the company said in an announcement on the BSE. According to a company official, this is a new market for Ashok Leyland and a significant order that includes supply of trucks and buses.
