Apollo Hospitals Launches New Research Academy
Apollo Hospitals has inaugurated the Apollo Research Academy (ARA), a new initiative dedicated to advancing healthcare research and innovation.
Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, emphasized that the ARA reflects the ethos of ‘One Apollo’, integrating the group's diverse research and educational entities. “This strategic alignment is designed to enhance Apollo’s research capabilities, foster collaboration, and build partnerships with leading national and international research organizations,” Reddy said in a statement.
Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, noted that the ARA will extend Apollo’s existing education and research foundations, positioning the organization to explore the future of medicine more comprehensively. “The Academy will serve as a natural extension, driving Apollo beyond its current achievements,” she added.
The ARA will focus on five key areas: Capacity and Culture, Sponsored Research, Investigator-Driven/Grant-Funded Research, Data Sciences, and Innovation. Under the leadership of Professor Ravi P. Mahajan, the Academy aims to unify various Apollo entities—including the Apollo Health Education and Research Foundation (AHERF), Apollo University, Apollo Research Institute (ARI), Apollo Research Centre, and Apollo Clinical Innovation Group—into a cohesive hub of research excellence with international recognition.
