DP World boosts rail freight capacity by 25% at Pali terminal in India.
DP World, a global logistics leader, is focusing on expanding its presence in India, particularly in the rail freight sector. The company has enhanced rail freight capacity at its Pali terminal by 25%, following the addition of a third line. This move is part of DP World's broader strategy to strengthen its operations across the country, with the company exploring additional investment opportunities in both the western and eastern regions.
To date, DP World has invested ₹1,800 crore to expand its rail infrastructure and operations in India. The company currently operates seven rail and inland terminals, located in Pali, Modinagar, Panipat, and Hindaun in North India; Hazira and Ahmedabad in the West; and Hyderabad in the South. It also operates through partner networks in the East.
Additionally, DP World’s fleet includes more than 100 container and Special Freight Train Operator Scheme (SFTO) rakes, as well as over 16,000 containers and trailers for last-mile delivery, underscoring its commitment to improving logistics efficiency in the country.
