YEIDA to Acquire Additional Land Near Jewar Airport.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will acquire 5,000 hectares of land near the upcoming Jewar International Airport to drive real estate and industrial growth in the region, Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi', Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Industrial Development, told The Economic Times.

The Jewar Airport, expected to be operational later this year, is set to be a major economic catalyst. The state government is already working on several large-scale projects in the area, including a film city, a medical device park, a logistics park, and a data centre park.

"Asia’s biggest airport is coming up in UP, and we want to ensure it enhances economic activity across the state. YEIDA has prepared a detailed plan and is allotting land for various activities. We will further acquire land to facilitate seamless development," said Nandi, who also oversees export promotion, NRI, and investment promotion.

Last year, YEIDA signed a concession agreement with Bayview Bhutani Film City, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) developing the Noida Film City.

The state’s draft Master Plan 2041 outlines a vision for the Jewar region, with 1,040 hectares allocated for industrial development and 178 hectares earmarked for a logistics park. The airport and surrounding infrastructure are expected to attract significant investment and bolster Uttar Pradesh’s industrial and logistics sectors.
