Work on Butibori power project to start next week

Mumbai: Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Power will start construction works for the proposed 300 mega watt (MW) Group Captive Power Project (GCPP) at Butibori near Nagpur in Maharashtra by next week.

The Rs 1,500 crore coal-based project will start power generation by 2011.

This will be the second project of Reliance Power after the first phase of 600 MW Rosa power project in Uttar Pradesh, which is scheduled to start production by the second quarter of 2010, sources said.
