Wapda hires Nespak services to rehabilitate power station
Lahore: The Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has hired the services of Nespak to rehabilitate the 22-megawatt Jabban Hydro-electric power station in the North West Frontier Province, after being badly damaged by a blaze last year.
A Nespak spokesman revealed on Thursday that the power station was built in 1937 in the pre-partitioned days. NESPAK will prepare a detailed design, bidding documents, evaluation of bids and help the power authority in the construction contract business. It will also be responsible for contract administration, supervision of civil works and installation, testing and commissioning of all electrical, mechanical and switchyard equipment.
