US body wants to establish technology park in Punjab

Chandigarh: A delegation of the US-India Business Alliance (USIBA) met the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and discussed its proposal to establish an American Technology Park in the state.

USIBA had expressed interest in establishing a technology park in Haryana after a meeting with the Chief Minister during his visit to the US last year.

During discussions, the Chief Minister said the state government had planned to develop an industrial model township near Rohtak and a global corridor along the 135-km Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway in National Capital Region falling in Haryana.

The state government had been making efforts to provide best possible road and rail connectivity in the region, he said.
