Tiger Logistics (India) Limited has announced that it has received a new import break-bulk logistics contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), marking another addition to its ongoing work with the public sector engineering major.
The mandate involves the movement of 13 over-dimensional cargo (ODC) units, each weighing approximately 89 metric tonnes, from Italy to India. The total value of the assignment is estimated at around ₹4 crore, inclusive of handling charges.
According to the company, the latest order further reinforces its long-standing engagement with BHEL, with several projects from the PSU currently under execution. In the previous financial year, Tiger Logistics successfully delivered 28 machine components for BHEL in line with project specifications and timelines, it said.
The logistics provider has been working with BHEL across a range of specialized services, including customs clearance, warehousing, transportation, FCL and LCL shipments, air freight, break-bulk cargo handling, and over-dimensional cargo movements. The company has supported multiple complex supply chain requirements across different geographies for the PSU.
Commenting on the development, Chairman & Managing Director Harpreet Singh Malhotra said the continued association with large public sector undertakings reflects long-standing trust built through execution of complex logistics assignments.
He added that projects of this scale require detailed planning, specialized handling capabilities, and coordinated international operations, and reaffirmed the company’s focus on delivering “efficient, reliable, world-class logistics solutions” for large industrial and infrastructure projects.
The company said the new mandate strengthens its position in the industrial project logistics segment, particularly in handling heavy-lift, break-bulk, and over-dimensional cargo for engineering, energy, infrastructure, and government-related projects.
