Three new flyovers to come up in Andheri.

In a bid to ease traffic in the congested suburban Andheri, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will construct three new flyovers in Andheri (W) from Janaki Devi School to Amarnath tower, from the BSES hospital to Lokhandwala Lake and Fishery Institute and another near the MHADA colony at a cost of Rs. 180 crore.

While the flyover connecting the school to Amarnath towers of 110 metres is expected to cost Rs. 20 crore, the other two bridges of 500 metres each are estimated to cost Rs. 70-75 crore each. Officials confirmed that the construction of the three bridges has been a long-pending demand from local residents of the area to ease traffic snarls from Yari road to Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri.
