The Reliance Infrastructure to complete WRSS project by FY13

A mega project to facilitate flow of 4000 MW power from country's eastern grid to western region is taking its final shape. The Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), part has completed the installation of 400 kV double circuit transmission line with transmission towers between Solapur and Kolhapur in Maharashtra.

The 220 km long transmission line is the sixth line under the Western Regional System Strengthening (WRSS) scheme that will connect two key business and tourists centers of Western Maharashtra and will boost the economic growth of the region.

As per the sources from Relaince Transmission, out of nine, six transmission lines have been successfully laid. The company expected to complet the project by FY13 that will facilitate 4000 MW power flow from eastern region to the western region of the country.
