TechMahindra-Motorola JV bags Baharin telco deal

New Delhi: CanvasM, a joint venture between Tech Mahindra and US-based Motorola, has won a contract from Baharin-based Aytaf Telecom for providing value added services.

CanvasM will provide converged multi-play services to Aytaf Telecom firm. The contract is vaild till 2010 but has a extension clause after its expiry.

Tech Mahindra holds 80 per cent in the joint venture. CanvasM Technologies is preparing mobile applications on Google's Android platform for HTC handsets which Airtel is expected to launch this month.

CanvasM is a key player in the mobile VAS space, focused on developing and deploying solutions and applications for media, operators and enterprises across the globe.
