Tata Steel to introduce new product for construction sector.

Tata Steel plans to introduce 'Ground Granulated BF Slag' (GGBS), a new value added product for the construction industry. The product promises to be a sustainable and cost effective material that will not only increase the compressive strength and durability of concrete but also reduce carbon foot-print significantly, Tata Steel said in a statement.

Trial supplies of GGBS have been planned to be started in a month's time. Based on the market response, full scale commercial launch is likely to be in next three months.
