Tata Power Company to set up 450 MW hydel plant, to launch mobile app.

Tata Power Company (TPC) will generate an additional 450 MW of clean power through hydel projects, and the first 120 MW plant will be commissioned this year. On the centenary of its operations, the company also announced an app for power users in Mumbai.

TPC has an existing capacity of 450 MW of hydro projects in Maharashtra.

'We aim to commission the first 120 MW hydro plant this year to cater to the increasing demand for electricity,' said TPC managing director Anil Sardana, without specifying where the new hydro plant would be located.
