Tata Motors Expands EV Footprint with Over 3,400 Commercial Vehicle Orders.
Commercial vehicle major Tata Motors recently said it has secured orders for more than 3,400 electric commercial vehicles (eCVs) across freight, logistics, and passenger mobility segments.
The orders include around 2,000 small commercial vehicles and pick-ups, 900 trucks, and 500 buses, covering a wide range of applications. These span e-commerce, logistics, FMCG and FMCD distribution, intra-city mobility, as well as more demanding sectors such as cement, steel, mining, and tarmac operations. The vehicles will also be deployed for inter-city and intra-city passenger transport.
According to the company, the large-scale deployment reflects increasing customer confidence in electric mobility solutions under real-world operating conditions. It also signals a shift in the industry from pilot projects to broader operational integration of electric vehicles across multiple use cases.
