Tata Chemicals to Invest ₹515 Crore in New Manufacturing Facility in Tamil Nadu.

The Board of Directors of Tata Chemicals has approved the establishment of a greenfield manufacturing facility at Valinokkam in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.

The proposed facility, to be set up at an investment of ₹515 crore, will manufacture Iodised Vacuum Salt Dried (IVSD) with an annual production capacity of 210 kilo tonnes per annum (KTPA).

In a statement, the Tata Group company said the project is expected to be completed within 36 months. The investment will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and external funding, though the company did not disclose specific details of the financing structure.
