Suzlon to set up 52 MW wind power project for GSPC

Ahmedabad: Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) has awarded a contract to set up a 52 MW wind power plant near Jakhao in Kutch to wind energy major Suzlon.

The power project will be commissioned before September this year.

It may be noted that GSPC had invited bids to set up a 200 Mw wind farm to generate clean energy in the state in January this year.

Following the bids, 13 companies had purchased the bid document but only two companies, Suzlon and Vestas, had finally bid for the project.
