Suzlon bags GAIL order for 23 MW wind power projects

Suzlon Energy Limited has received an order from state-run gas utility GAIL to build and commission 23 MW wind power capacity in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka by the end of 2011-12.

The order for 11 units of Suzlon's S88 – 2.1 MW wind turbines is GAIL's fourth order with Suzlon, with the first two projects located in Gujarat. The first 4.5 MW project, comprising Suzlon's S82 – 1.5MW turbines, was commissioned in March 2010, and the second 14.7 MW project is currently under execution
