Supreme Infra bags Rs 315 crore road project in West Bengal

Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd has bagged the contract for four laning a 22 km stretch of State highway in West Bengal with an estimated investment of Rs 315 crore.

West Bengal Highway Development Corporation Ltd (WBHDC) had invited bids for four-laning a 42 km stretch connecting two crucial national highways, NH2 and NH34.

The project will be implemented in two phases - Dankuni to Chandannagar (Hooghly district) and Chandannagar to Barojaguli (Nadia district).

The financial bids for the second phase are expected to be invited in November. The preliminary bidding process for this stretch is over.

Apart from developing and repairing roads, the contractors will have to construct seven over-bridges over railway lines, three major bridges and 10 minor bridges on the 42-km stretch, he added
