Sterlite Grid bags Rs.650 Crore contract from PFC

Sterlite Grid has secured two transmission projects worth about Rs 650 crore from Power Finance Corporation.

The first project transmission project is for transfer power from the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project Unit 7 and 8 to Shujalpur in Madhya Pradesh. This will be done through a 200 km long network of 400 kV double circuit line. The line, in addition will further strengthen the power transfer capability from the northern grid to the western grid, the company said.

The second project is for two 400 kV double circuit lines between Ranchi and Chaibasa in Jharkhand and between Kharagpur and Purulia in West Bengal. The total line length will be about 270 km and the project will include 400 kV multi-circuit towers near the Ranchi substation.
