Skyline Builders sales touch Rs 2,500-mn

Kochi: The Kochi-based Skyline Builders, one of the oldest companies in south India, has registered sales of Rs 250 crore in 2007-08 with the completion of 11-lakh sq ft of built-up area in various parts of the State.

Mr Abdul Azeez, Chief Executive Officer, Skyline Builders said that the company is on the threshold of a big leap as it is going to hand over 20 projects during the current financial year. Apart from these, another 21 projects in the portfolio are in various stages of construction progress, which would be ready for delivery in time.

“On the strength of upcoming projects, this year we are aiming to touch Rs 400-crore sales,” he added.

Skyline Builders has already completed 59 projects in the State and the company is expanding its presence on a pan-Kerala basis with new projects in Thallassery and Thiruvalla. It is the only builder in the State having projects across seven cities in the State, he said.

The company offers a broad spectrum of housing products, including downtown apartments, beachfront apartments, waterfront apartments, townships — like condominiums and designer apartments.

He pointed out that the recent increase in land prices and input costs would definitely reflect on the price of apartments. There has been an increase of Rs 300-Rs 400 a sq ft in the last year due to the hike in the prices of cement and steel.
