Sindh Govt works out storages scheme
Karachi: Sindh Government is working on a scheme with a cost of Rs 2000 million for construction of storages through Public-Private Partnership in districts under ADP.
He said an amount of Rs 100 million has been allocted for the current financial year as Capital Component. He informed that in order to assess feasibility of the implementation of this scheme, meetings with stakeholders including Flour Mills Association, Sindh Abadgar Board and leading growers were held but no workable idea for its implementation has so far been achieved.
However, Sindh Abadgar Board has been requested to visit the silos near Karachi and examine feasibility of this project on Public Private Partnership. He said feasibility is still awaited. He informed that EoI has also been invited through newspapers and proposals are awaited.
