Simplex to build car park facility in Salt Lake

Kolkata: Simplex Projects Limited (SPL) has bagged the contract for development and management of a multi-level car parking project close to the City Centre at Salt Lake.

The Rs 50 crore project consisting of a multi-level car parking for 600 cars and also a commercial complex is expected to be completed within eighteen months.

The PPP (public-private partnership) project is to be taken up on a BOT (build, operate and transfer) basis and land for the project is leased to SPL by the Kolkata Municipal Development Authority (KMDA).

'Simplex Projects will sign the concession agreement with KMDA on March 6. We will also enter into an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with the Future Group in respect of leasing of the commercial complex', Pradeep Mishra, senior vice-president of SPL said.

The project will be a four-floor structure out of which the ground floor will comprise the commercial complex while the basement alongwith the other floors will be devoted to car parking.
