Siemens wins Rs 1,750-mn worth contract from SAIL

Mumbai: Diversified firm Siemens today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 175.6 cr from Steel Authority of India Ltd for power plant related works.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Siemens Ltd said its industrial solutions division has secured the order, which is the part of expansion and modernisation plan of Sail's Bokaro Steel Plant.

The scope of work includes design, supply, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of 220 kv and 132 kv switchyards for the captive power plant at the Bokaro steel plant, the company said.

'We are happy to partner with Sail in their expansion and modernisation project at the Bokaro Steel Plant,' Siemens Managing Director Armin Bruck said.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 311, down 3.46% on the BSE.
