SIDCO estate near Madurai

Madurai: An industrial estate promoted by Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) will come up in Sedapatti near Madurai

The Chairman and Managing Director, Mr.D.Rajendran, inspected the potential sites around Sedapatti, measuring 50 to 100 acres. The region lacked industries and the site would be selected depending upon the feasibility and other economic factors, he said.

More industrial estates would be coming up, raising the number of estates in the State from 78 to 100, covering more districts. The Tamilnadu Small and Tiny Industries’ Association, Chennai, Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Germany, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute and Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation, Tamil Nadu are involved in conducting a study for the projects.
