"Sealmatic India Ltd Secures Order from BPCL"

Sealmatic India Ltd, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: BOM: 543782), has proudly announced the acquisition of a significant order, considered one of the most prestigious in its portfolio. The company has been entrusted with the supply of 26 API mechanical seals along with 26 API Plans for various pumps in the BBU, RFU, ARU & CDU unit at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) Mumbai, as part of the Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD) project.

Mr. Umar AK Balwa, Managing Director of Sealmatic, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Under stiff competition from international giants and stringent technical specifications, Sealmatic has successfully won the prestigious order to supply high-critical API mechanical seals for demanding applications for the OISD Project at BPCL in Mumbai, India." Bharat Petroleum Mumbai Refinery (BPCL - MR) stands as one of the most versatile refineries in India, excelling in various aspects such as quality, technology, energy, safety, environmental friendliness, and operating cost. The refinery, commissioned in 1955, has undergone progressive revamps and additions of various process units to reach its present refining capacity of 12 MMT.

Sealmatic's API-compliant mechanical seals play a crucial role in ensuring safety and process reliability in refining technology, petrochemicals, oil & gas, and chemical industries. With a wide portfolio of seals and seal supply systems in accordance with API 682 4th edition, Sealmatic is equipped to meet the diverse challenges posed by crude oil processing in refineries.

The OISD, entrusted by the Petroleum Ministry, has mandated refineries in India to enhance safety measures in the Oil & Gas industry. As part of this initiative, various refineries are converting single mechanical seals to double mechanical seals in compliance with API standards, contributing to overall safety and reliability in refinery processes.
