Sakarni Plaster (India) Ltd plans to invest around ₹450 crore over the next two years to expand its manufacturing capacity and set up two new plants for gypsum boards and paints.

The Delhi-based building materials maker will establish a gypsum board manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh and a paint plant in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, while also expanding capacity at its existing facilities.

“We are planning to expand our manufacturing capacities. We will set up a plant for gypsum boards in Andhra Pradesh and a paint plant at Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. We will also expand capacities at our existing plants,” Sakarni Plaster Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Gupta told reporters.

Sakarni Plaster currently operates 12 manufacturing plants, with most of its facilities located in Rajasthan. The company manufactures a range of building materials, including Plaster of Paris (POP), cement- and acrylic-based wall putties, gypsum boards, premium paints, tile adhesives, construction chemicals, waterproofing systems and crack-resistant surface solutions.
