Sagar Cements Announces ₹1,000 Crore Investment in Sustainability and ESG Projects..
Sagar Cements has announced a major Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) transformation plan, with an investment of ₹1,000 crore over the next three years. The move is part of the company’s broader Business Plan 2030, which outlines ESG-focused investments across its six plants.
“Sagar Cements has developed a comprehensive Business Plan 2030, which includes forecasting investments across six plants aligned with ESG Roadmap targets 2030. The investments are reviewed and approved annually and incorporate innovation, new technology, and carbon pricing,” S. Sreekanth Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Sagar Cements, told businessline.
Reddy added, “We have planned investments of more than ₹1,000 crore to achieve ESG Roadmap targets 2030. These will focus on renewable energy, technology upgrades, energy efficiency, alternative fuel utilisation, and community development.”
The initiative underscores Sagar Cements’ commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint while supporting social and community development programs.
