Refex Green Power Secures ₹65.07 Crore Contract for Bio-CNG Plant in Salem.

Refex Green Power Ltd (RGPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Refex Industries, has been awarded a ₹65.07 crore contract to establish a 200-tonne-per-day (TPD) municipal solid waste-based Bio-CNG plant in Salem.

The project, sanctioned by the Salem City Municipal Corporation under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0, will be developed on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It will follow the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) framework, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational efficiency.

With a contract tenure of 20 years, the initiative aligns with the government’s focus on sustainable waste management and renewable energy. The plant is expected to significantly enhance the city’s waste-to-energy capabilities, contributing to cleaner urban infrastructure and environmental conservation.

Refex Green Power stated that this project underscores its commitment to advancing green energy solutions and fostering circular economy principles in urban waste management.
