Projects worth 45000 Crore stuck in financial closure issue

National Highway Builders Federation (NHBF), the association representing infrastructure developers, around 37 projects worth Rs 45,000 crore are stuck due to the delay in getting necessary clearances from the various departments.

Most of the build-operate-transfer (BOT) highways are delayed upto 36 months and beyond. According to the project contract, the highway developers have to achieve financial closure within a period of 180 days from the date of signing of the concession agreement.
