PM Modi to Inaugurate Projects Worth Rs 13,000 Crore on Feb 20
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to provide a significant boost to the education sector by inaugurating campuses of three Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) in Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam, alongside laying the foundation stone for various projects collectively valued at over Rs 13,000 crore on Tuesday.
Among the projects scheduled for inauguration are the permanent campuses of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Bhilai, Tirupati, and Jammu, as well as the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) in Kancheepuram. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Kanpur, a pioneering skill training institute focusing on advanced technologies. Furthermore, two campuses of the Central Sanskrit University in Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura, will also be dedicated.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, these initiatives represent a significant step towards enhancing and modernizing educational and skilling infrastructure across the nation, with a combined investment of approximately Rs. 13,375 crore.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) buildings nationwide. Furthermore, he will lay the foundation stone for five KV campuses, one NV campus, and five multipurpose halls for NVs across the country.
The inauguration, dedication, and foundation laying ceremony for these campuses and buildings will take place at a public event at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
