PixxelSpace and Partners to Build ₹1,200 Crore Earth Observation Satellite Network.

The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) has selected a consortium led by PixxelSpace to build and operate India’s first fully-indigenous commercial Earth observation (EO) satellite. The project, worth more than ₹1,200 crore, will see the consortium invest the funds over the next five years.

The winning consortium includes Piersight Space, Satsure Analytics India, and Dhruva Space, alongside Google-backed PixxelSpace. Their mission is to launch a constellation of 12 EO satellites.

These satellites will be equipped with advanced sensors, including panchromatic, multispectral, hyperspectral, and microwave synthetic aperture radar (SAR), to provide comprehensive Earth observation data.
