PES Engineers wins hydropower contract in Nepal

Kathmandu: Hyderabad-based PES Engineers has won a contract for the survey licence of a 110-MW project in Nepal's Kalikot district.

PES Engineers will develop the Phulkot Karnali power project on the Karnali river. It specialises in hydro-electric, thermal and nuclear plants.

PES is developing the Rs 500 million Birahi Ganga Hydro project in Uttaranchal.

It is the fourth Indian firm after GMR group, Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS)and Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam to develop hydropower projects in Nepal.
