Paramount to increase fleet strength

New Delhi: Chennai-based business class carrier, Paramount Airways, is planning to increase its fleet to 20 air planes by 2011.

It will also enhance its on-board service by
launching in-flight mobile service after getting approval from regulatory authorities.

Presently, it has five aircraft and is planning to induct Brazil-made Embraer and turboprop aircraft, that are smaller jets which can seat 75 passengers and suitable for landing on shorter runways.

The new fleet will be utilised for tapping tourist destinations like Pondicherry and Agatti (Lakshadweep).
