Oil India and NEEPCO Sign 15-Year Agreement for Assam Gas-Based Power Supply.

Oil India Ltd (OIL) announced recently that it has entered into a long-term pact with North Eastern Electric Power Corp (NEEPCO) to supply natural gas to NEEPCO’s power station in Dibrugarh district, Assam.

Under the Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA), OIL will provide 1.4 million metric standard cubic metres per day (MMSCMD) of natural gas to NEEPCO’s Assam Gas Based Power Station (AGBPS) at Bokuloni for the next 15 years, the company said in an official statement.

This agreement ensures a steady fuel supply to support power generation in the region, reinforcing energy infrastructure in Assam.
