In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, on Tuesday approved 23 industrial projects with a combined investment of ₹4,111.80 crore. The projects are expected to create 9,924 jobs across the state, according to a government statement.
The approved projects span a diverse range of sectors, including mechanical and electrical capital goods, apparel and textiles, aerospace and defence manufacturing, shipbuilding and repair, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, refractories, aluminium downstream, mineral beneficiation, metal downstream, plastics, glass manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, infrastructure, and tourism. Officials said this reflects Odisha’s strategy to foster a diversified and resilient industrial ecosystem.
Investments will be distributed across 11 districts—Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Khurda, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh—ensuring balanced regional development.
Key approvals include:
Nipha Ltd: Railway component manufacturing unit in Khurda, ₹384 crore, 310 jobs.
Inventgrid India Pvt Ltd: Advanced multi-drone manufacturing centre in Ganjam, ₹300 crore, 1,000 jobs.
Northern Express Infra Developers Pvt Ltd: Shipbuilding and repair facility in Bhadrak, ₹339.40 crore, 507 jobs.
Tourism infrastructure: Two 5-star hotels in Puri (₹200 crore) and Khurda (₹210 crore), and two 4-star hotels in Puri (₹70 crore) and Sambalpur (₹64 crore).
JG Hosiery Pvt Ltd: Large garment unit in Khurda, ₹100 crore, creating 2,350 jobs.
Pharmaceuticals and chemicals: Alventa Pharma Ltd and Blue Mount Energy Pvt Ltd will invest ₹100 crore each in Khurda and Cuttack, generating 250 and 100 jobs, respectively.
Additionally, projects in refractory production, aluminium downstream, mineral beneficiation, and metal processing were approved for Sundargarh, Jajpur, Koraput, and Deogarh districts.
The approvals signal Odisha’s commitment to accelerating job-led economic growth and strengthening its industrial ecosystem, officials said.
