NTPC in coal supply pact with Singareni.

Singareni Collieries Co Ltd. (SCCL) and NPTC have entered into a coal supply agreement.

Under the deal, SCCL will supply 8 million tonnes of coal in 2019-20 to NTPC’s thermal stations.

SD Prasad, Chief General Manager, Fuel Transport, NTPC, and Antony Raja, GM - Marketing of SCCL, inked the deal recently.

With SCCL seeking to step up output by tapping new mines, both in Telangana and in other States, it is also making arrangements for evacuation and dispatch of coal to various locations with the South Central Railways.

It has asked the Railways to make arrangements for additional rakes.

HBL
