NTPC Green Energy Limited Signs MoU with Indus Towers Limited

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Indus Towers Limited (ITL) have formalized their commitment to advancing green energy objectives by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, aimed at supporting the Government of India's efforts towards achieving a carbon-neutral economy, was signed by Sh Soumya Kanti Chowdhuri, Chief General Manager of NGEL, and Sh Vikas Poddar, Chief Financial Officer of ITL. The signing took place on April 18, 2024, at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi, in the presence of senior officials from both NTPC and Indus Towers Limited.

The MoU outlines plans for collaboration in the joint development of grid-connected Renewable Energy-based Power Projects, including solar, wind, energy storage, and related solutions. Indus Towers Limited intends to progressively expand its renewable energy portfolio to gigawatt-scale capacity across its business operations throughout the country as part of its Net Zero commitments.
