NPCIL & NTPC to set up Nuclear power projects in India

April,2010: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) and NTPC Ltd signed a pact for the incorporation of a joint venture company to set up nuclear power projects in the country.

The joint venture company is expected to be operational in a couple of months and the venture is likely to set up two 700 MWe reactors at a site identified by the Department of Atomic Energy.
