NLC India Ltd has revealed that its wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy Limited (NIGEL), has successfully secured a 600-MW solar power project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Limited (GUVNL).

According to a stock exchange filing by NLC India, NIGEL was established specifically to undertake renewable energy projects, reflecting the parent company's commitment to expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector.

The proposed solar power project is set to be developed at Khavda Solar Park in Bhuj District, Gujarat, showcasing NIGEL's significant contribution to advancing clean energy initiatives in the region.
