Nitin Gadkari and Odisha CM Review Progress of Ongoing National Highway Projects

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, accompanied by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and senior officials, conducted a thorough review of the ongoing National Highway projects in Odisha on Thursday.

According to a statement from Gadkari's office, the meeting in Delhi included discussions on the status and advancements of various National Highway projects across the state. Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Pravati Parida, and other senior officials were also present to assess the project developments.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand met with Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi to discuss both ongoing and proposed road connectivity projects in the state. During the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami highlighted the crucial need for enhancing the state's road infrastructure and urged Gadkari to expedite notifications for six routes that were upgraded to National Highway status in principle back in 2016.

Nitin Gadkari, who assumed office as Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways for the third consecutive term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, has been actively involved in enhancing India's infrastructure. He has previously served in various capacities, including as Minister of PWD in Maharashtra and as BJP's national president.

Gadkari's tenure has been marked by significant initiatives aimed at improving road connectivity and infrastructure development across the country, reflecting his commitment to advancing India's transport sector.
