New projects under way to enliven Butt Road beach.

Butt road beach, one of the fast developing tourism destinations in the heart of the city, is all set to have two unique money-spinning projects, which will cater to sightseers and potential advertisers.

The projects currently under construction include a semi-covered spacious party area overlooking the beach for private gatherings and an exclusive demonstration space for large scale companies to showcase their products after paying the fixed sum to the tourism department.

A. Pradeepkumar, MLA, who sanctioned Rs.60 lakh recently to support the beach beautification drive, said an open air stage currently under construction along the artificial beach lagoon in the project area would madd charm to the entire area. This space will be reserved exclusively for hosting cultural programmes, he adds.

According to Mr. Pradeepkumar, the new projects will largely help to generate the required money for its proper maintenance and introduce more facilities at own cost in the offing. “As per the current plan, we wish to make it the city’s best family tourism destination with all standard facilities for leisure and entertainment,” he adds.
