New Dankuni–Surat Freight Corridor to Strengthen Madhya Pradesh Export Network.
Ashwini Vaishnaw recently said the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor connecting West Bengal and Gujarat will lay a strong foundation for large-scale industrial development in Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing a virtual event, the Railway Minister said the corridor would significantly enhance logistics efficiency and improve freight connectivity for industries across Madhya Pradesh, enabling faster movement of goods to ports and key markets.
Vaishnaw was speaking while virtually flagging off two new train services — the Bhopal–Dhanbad–Bhopal tri-weekly express and the Bhopal–Chopan–Bhopal weekly express — aimed at improving passenger connectivity from the state capital.
The Minister flagged off the trains from Rail Bhawan in New Delhi, while Mohan Yadav participated in the ceremony from the Bhopal railway station.
Officials said the new services are expected to enhance regional connectivity and provide greater travel convenience to passengers across Madhya Pradesh and adjoining states.
