"Mumbai's Kurla Suburban Station Welcomes New Foot Overbridge"

A recently constructed Foot Over Bridge (FOB) has been officially inaugurated at Kurla station, specifically at its Kalyan end, bolstering the station's connectivity options. Kurla station already boasts five existing FOBs, and this addition is set to provide even more convenience for passengers.

The newly commissioned FOB was completed at an estimated cost of Rs 10.6 crore and stands out with its generous width of 8 meters and an overall length approaching 80 meters. According to Central Railway's chief spokesperson, Shivraj Manaspure, the FOB is supported by a total of 44 columns, spanning four sections of the bridge.

To facilitate easy access, the new FOB offers five staircases connecting it to platforms 1 through 8. Central Railway has expressed its commitment to ongoing enhancements in passenger amenities, recognizing the importance of providing a seamless and comfortable travel experience for the public.
