MP to Develop Helipad Every 45 Km, Airport Every 150 Km: CM Yadav.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced recently that under the State’s new Civil Aviation Policy-2025, a permanent helipad will be constructed every 45 km and an airport every 150 km across the State. The announcement was made during an interaction with industrialists in Indore ahead of the 'Invest Madhya Pradesh - Global Investors Summit' scheduled for February 24-25 in Bhopal.

The State cabinet, led by Yadav, approved the new aviation policy, which aims to enhance connectivity and boost investment in the region. Highlighting key provisions, the Chief Minister stated that aviation companies will receive a grant of ₹7.50 lakh for every new domestic flight linking Madhya Pradesh to other States via new routes, while new international flights will receive ₹10 lakh in support.

Additionally, tenders will soon be invited to launch helicopter services connecting Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar, further strengthening regional connectivity.

In a move to promote industrial growth, the cabinet also approved a new Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Policy. Yadav assured that businesses investing over ₹2.50 crore in small industries would receive protection under the policy. He also confirmed that privately developed industrial zones would be entitled to the same benefits as those established by the State government.

To foster industrial expansion in western Madhya Pradesh, a metropolitan authority encompassing 10,000 square kilometers across Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, and Shajapur districts will be established soon.

Furthermore, Yadav announced plans for the 2028 Simhastha fair in Ujjain, allowing various communities to construct permanent dharamshalas, ashrams, and dining halls over 2,300 hectares to accommodate pilgrims attending the major religious event.
