Modi Illva Invests ₹100 Crore in Malt Distillery, Paving Way for Single Malt Launch.

Modi Illva, the company behind the popular Rockford whiskey brand, is making a significant investment of ₹100 crore to establish a state-of-the-art malt distillery. The new facility is projected to be fully operational by December of this year, a strategic move that will pave the way for the company to introduce its own single malt whisky in the coming years.

Abhishek Modi, Executive Director of Modi Illva India, elaborated on the company's vision, stating, “We are investing in the malt distillery project to try and come up with a good quality malt spirit. The idea is to produce high-quality malt required for our existing brands and also to launch more premium products in the future, like single malts. Creating the right kind of malt is an art.”

The new malt distillery is currently under construction at Modi Illva's existing grain distillery and bottling facility in Modi Nagar. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to enhancing its production capabilities and diversifying its product portfolio with premium offerings.
