MIDC Allocates Rs. 200 Crore for Infrastructure Development in Taloja Industrial Area

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is set to revamp the deteriorated roads in the Taloja industrial area with a budget of Rs 200 crore. The initiative aims to enhance the existing infrastructure and address the longstanding issue of pothole-riddled roads in the region. Thakur Infra Projects has been awarded the work order, and the project will encompass the concretization of a 21km stretch in L, M, V, T blocks of Chemical and New Chemical zones. Taloja MIDC corridor, housing over 900 large and medium-scale industry units, primarily engaged in chemical, plastic, glass, food processing, fertilizer, and engineering products, will undergo a transformative makeover. The move is expected to boost the local economy and contribute to the development of the industrial area, aligning with MIDC's vision to transform it into a smart industrial city on a pilot basis. The initiative comes in response to the persistent efforts and representations by the Taloja Industries Association (TIA), which highlighted the urgent need for infrastructure improvements. The proactive measures are anticipated to attract business and employment opportunities to the industrial belt, fostering overall growth and development.
