Merck and Tata Electronics Join Forces to Advance India's Semiconductor Industry.

Merck, a leading science and technology company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Electronics Private Limited to strategically collaborate on strengthening India's semiconductor ecosystem. The partnership will focus on developing capabilities in semiconductor materials, fabrication infrastructure, and specialty chemical and gas distribution.

Under the agreement, Merck will provide its comprehensive portfolio of products and services for Tata Electronics' upcoming semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat. This includes high-purity electronic materials, advanced gas and chemical delivery systems, and turnkey fabrication infrastructure services. Merck will also supply its AI-powered material intelligence solutions.

The partnership also includes knowledge sharing. Merck will provide best practices in safety and manufacturing excellence and offer access to platforms like Athinia, a secure data analytics platform that enables collaboration across the semiconductor industry. This is a significant step toward boosting India's self-reliance in the semiconductor sector.
