Malaysia extends rig contract for Aban Offshore

New Delhi: Chennai-based offshore drilling contractor Aban Offshore has received a contract for the continued deployment of the rig Deep Driller 3 offshore Malaysia for a 4 year period in direct continuation of its present contract, which is expected to end early October 2008, the company informed.

The estimated revenues from the contract would be approximately $ 241 million (equivalent to Rs 1,133 crore). At 1110 hrs, the company’s share on the BSE was trading at Rs 1,958, down about 4% from the previous close.
